Empowering Minds is seeking a motivated Direct Service Coordinator Supervisor to support our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). Responsibilities:
The Direct Service Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for organizing and supporting the staff while visualizing future developments, impacts, and needs of the program. He/she motivates the staff to meet targets and deadlines ensuring not only quality standards are met, but that the safety and welfare of the program’s participants is adhered to consistently. He/she will ensure that the staff has the adequate training, tools, and support needed to service the client.
Job Summary:

  • Provides direct supervision to all Direct Service Coordinators (DSC)
  • Provides Orientation training to new DSC’s and all ongoing training as needed.
  • Ensures that all direct care staff are providing consistent services to all assigned clients.
  • Provides direct clinical supervision to all DSC’s.
  • Oversees the coordination of all services provided by DSC’s.
  • Coordinates and facilitates regularly scheduled monthly staff meetings.
  • Ensures continuity and effectiveness of agency services in conformance with EMRC policy and COMAR regulations.
  • Reviews all note correction issues and assures prompt corrections when required.
  • Evaluates staff performance and recommends action on hiring, program improvement plans, disciplinary action, and probationary periods as needed.
  • Ensures that all clients are assigned to DSC’s and are actively receiving services.
  • Responsible for making sure that client Rehabilitation Plans and Reviews are distributed to the Coordinators and track their timely submission.
  • Meets with team members weekly to review any issues or concerns.
  • Reports directly to the Program Director
  • Reporting and Program Development
  • Support the Program Director and maintain the daily office operations in their absence

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, dynamic, and passionate about working with children and families
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and develop positive relationships
  • Ability to handle crisis situations
  • Possession of one of the following Maryland licenses or certifications; Clinical Social Worker(LBSW, LSW, LSW-C); Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor; Licensed Professional Counselor (LCGP, LCPC), Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) preferred.
  • Will accept candidates with no licensure under temporary contract. Candidate must acquire CPRP within 6 months. (Company paid training and certification)
