DIGITAL MANAGER Job at United States Senate
Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet seeks a DIGITAL MANAGER to join an active communications team and manage digital strategy for his office. This role is based in D.C. or Denver and is responsible for overseeing the senator’s social media presence, pitching and executing video and content pieces, and developing a long-term digital strategy for the office.
Plain and simple: we are looking for a storyteller - someone who can take the senator’s voice, personal story, and policy priorities, as well as the stories of Coloradans, and turn them into compelling digital content. We are also looking for someone who understands how digital tools and platforms can help the senator and our office better connect to and respond to the needs of Coloradans. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) drafting and editing social media, writing video scripts for the senator’s social media as well as requests from constituents, staffing digital time with the senator, capturing and editing photos and videos that will help grow our online audience, and tracking the senator’s digital analytics. The Digital Director will also manage our website.
Ideal candidates are creative, hard-working, detail-oriented, and strong writers. We are looking for someone who can maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. They can use Adobe Creative Suite programs like Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator; and understand fundamentals of graphic design, photography (including use of professional photography equipment), and video production. This is not an entry level position. Our office prioritizes building a diverse team.
