Salary: $40,000 - $46,000 annually
Manage workflows for all GEM-generated digital assets, including rights and reproductions procedures, and inclusion in and organization of digital assets in relevant museum databases. Support and maintain existing Museum commercial activities and help evaluate and/ or provide input for proposed new commercial ventures and activities.
JOB DUTIES:
. Manage rights and reproductions for images and other content created by the museum.
. Receive and prioritize internal and external requests for reproductions and use rights.
. Negotiate usage terms and fees for reproduction licenses.
. Process licensing contracts and payments of royalties to the museum, and periodically review royalty statements to confirm compliance with executed agreements.
. Ensure on-time delivery of images or videos for reproduction orders.
. Work with museum photographer and chief registrar to develop and implement media file naming conventions and file management protocols and workflows.
. Utilizing digital asset management (DAM) system, enhance, verify, and create descriptive and administrative metadata for digital objects following national and local metadata/cataloging protocols and procedures.
. Upload images to digital as set management system and TMS.
. Add relevant bi bliographic and copyright information in the museum's collection management system (TMS 2018).
. Monitor existing and evaluate new commercial opportunities.
. Coordinate licensing agreements with artists and other rights holders for works in the museum's collection or to be used in museum publications.
. Evaluate and suggest opportunities to improve commercial activities and make recommendations to the VP, Operations and Finance and/or the Ron and Donna Fielding Director.
. Collaborate with appropriate departments/staff within GEM to execute income generating ventures.
. Work environment is the museum facility, particularly an office setting and the photography studio. This position requires seeing, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, carrying, depth perception and repetitive motions.
. Other duties as assigned.
