We’re looking for a full-time, Staff Instrument and Controls Designer to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Greenville, SC, Virginia Beach, VA, Lexington, KY or Charlotte, NC

As the Instrument and Controls Designer here’s the work you’ll do:
Provide most design, layout, and checking of deliverables.
Efficiently utilizes CAD systems including 3D design tools
Monitor design and drafting work of CAD personnel and coordinate with other disciplines, as necessary.
Interprets and applies applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
Provide schedule for work assignments
Prepare calculations for design.

This role is for you if you have these skills:
• Sound knowledge of Estimating/Budgeting, planning and Scheduling a plus.
• CAD and 3D design proficient.
• Sound knowledge of engineering terminology and industry practices, Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Has complete knowledge of design and associated design documents for each assigned project.
• Ability to function accordingly for specific projects

And if you have these qualifications:
• High School, GED or Technical Associates Degree
• 20 + years
• Great attitude and team player.
• Successful completion of background screening process.

  • Ability to write complex documents in the English language.
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company’s office or worksite.
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
