Great Plains Periodontics & Implant Dentistry is a growing private practice looking to add an amazing Registered Dental Hygienist to our team. We are looking for a candidate that is dependable, outgoing, extremely friendly and gentle to care for our patients. You must have excellent clinical and communication skills. Patient comfort, care, education and customer service are very important to us. This position is available Monday - Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Sterilization Duties
• Conduct initial screenings and check oral health history
• Provide scaling and root planning procedures
• Administer anesthetic
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Experience with computer software applications and ability to learn computer software quickly (Dentrix is a plus)
• Educate patients of all ages on proper hygiene care
• Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
• Take necessary radiographs or dental impressions
• Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies

Skills

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills
• Reliable, friendly and works well in a team environment
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene
• Valid license to practice

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
