PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Catering Team Member at Catholic Charities:

• Coordinates daily menu with kitchen team then drives prepared foods from Samaritan House in designated truck and delivers the product to Smith Rd. Kitchen. Safely and promptly unloads prepared food and secures it for meal service. Helps oversee meal service when needed and shuts down kitchen at Smith Road. Reloads truck with all necessary supplies for returns to Samaritan House kitchen then repeats the process throughout a scheduled shift. If not scheduled to cater a meal this position reports to the warehousing supervisor.

• Loads catered food on the truck and delivers food to designated area safely and timely.
• Unloads food at designated sites, and ensures all products are stored properly at the sites.
• Sets up serving area for meal service and oversees the food service process of kitchen.
• Maintains all logs and paper work accurately and timely.
• Responds quickly to staff, volunteer and client needs.
• Supports, promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics.
• Reflects Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.

• 
  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid Colorado driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to drive delivery truck.
• Must have an understanding of food safety and safe food practices.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to quickly shift priorities as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: Starting at $16.00/hour with increases commensurate with experience & education.

Schedule: Dependent on location, the Samaritan House is open 24 hours a day 7 days per week. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
