Archbright is seeking a highly motivated problem solver with attention to detail to assist in developing in a data strategy to improve our data structures and security. As our Database Administrator, you will work with our Database Developer and leadership team on procedures and policies in establishing data structures to meet business needs and implement tools to increase our data accuracy and maintain our data operability.
Archbright is based in Seattle, WA and many of our employees reside in the PNW. This position is able to be done remotely as long as the candidate is agreeable to working on Pacific time zones. We can accept candidates from all US states except Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia due to various business laws. There will be at least two times per year that travel to the Seattle area will be required for full company events; potentially a few more annually but not more than four to five.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role:
- Work with leadership to establish and maintain a Data strategy and develop a roadmap to enhance our data structures.
- Monitor, maintain, and manage company databases.
- Ensure database stability, integrity, and security.
- Develop processes for optimizing database security.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Maintain database backups and recovery platform.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Define technical requirements for improvements to data platform and data infrastructure.
- Provide technical and data management expertise to leadership on cross functional, strategic, and product launch projects.
- Develop stored procedures using SSIS for data transformations and portability.
Education and experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in similar role.
- Extensive experience with database technologies.
- Experience with Windows Server environments.
- B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or other closely related field preferred.
- MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
Essential Skills and Abilities for this role:
- Work well with all levels of employee and be able to manage meeting with all.
- Communicate technical info to non-technical people, and interpret the reverse and build the technical requirements to achieve business needs.
- Be available for on-call support as needed for the SQL portion of the environment if any issues arise.
