Summary: Provide engaged, hands-on technical contributions for the corporate IT Data Warehouse, inclusive of implementation, training / support, and ongoing operations. As a member of the Data Warehouse development team, this senior level individual contributor will focus on enhancing the usability and accessibility of corporate reporting and analytics solutions to directly support IT-enabled business change. This role requires partnering with business leaders, IT staff and the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) to ensure a sustainable approach to complexity reduction, service delivery and team growth / development. The position will be critical in innovating, transforming, and enhancing processes and capabilities that enable profitable business.

Major Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, supports, and documents complex Data Warehouse systems to address business needs (enterprise wide, efficient, scalable, hardened application-based solutions)
• Recognized across IT and business functions as a subject matter expert on key systems
• Produces, reviews, and approves advanced functional and technical specifications
• Provides architectural direction for key systems and interfaces
• Provides technical leadership, including developing project plans, assigning tasks, and facilitating team processes
• Consults with ITLT to establish methods / standards for key systems and processes
• Partners closely with the business functions, acting in a consultative role
• Leads and designs complex deployment and end-to-end testing plans
• Stays current of industry best practices and incorporates these methods into internal standard processes
• Leads large-scale efforts spanning multiple systems, IT teams and functional areas
• Perform software testing, peer level reviews and quality assurance
• Perform operational support inclusive of off-hour needs

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Hands-on experience in Data Warehouse development with advanced working knowledge of Data Warehouse application design / architecture
• Advanced knowledge of programming and development concepts
• Deep skill and experience in developing and delivering Data Warehouse solutions
• Deep skill and experience in managing Data Warehouse environments both on premise and in the cloud (Azure/Snowflake)
• Deep skill in managing Data Integration environments using tools including Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Visual Studio, Python, and Essbase
• Working knowledge in managing Data Integration software installation, maintenance, and administration
• Deep knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and lifecycles including data lakes, staging areas, data marts, star schemas, ETL, and ELT
• Advanced experience in RDBMS (Oracle / SQL Server / Snowflake / stored procedures)
• Experience leading intermediate to large, highly complex initiatives utilizing Project Management Office best practices and standards inclusive of change communication
• Preferred experience in vendor relations management
• Preferred experience with budget planning

Education

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in related field

• 7+ years in a technical individual contributor role
• Strong influencing skills across both IT and business functions
• Consistently communicates with empathy; recognizes target audience and adjusts accordingly
• Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Has led large scale efforts spanning multiple systems and teams.
• Actively contributes to annual budget planning and execution
• 5+ years in large ($1B or greater) corporate environments preferred
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and heavily matrixed organizations
