Our core business is the recycling of metal from a range of sources such as End-of-Life vehicles/consumer products, industry, construction and demolition. This results in sales of recycled commodities of around 10 million tons a year. We have extensive ferrous and non-ferrous operations worldwide, which recycled, re-use, and recovere more than 200 grades of new, sustainable raw materials. Supporting our core activities are a range of specialist divisions including industrial clearance, total waste management, ship breaking, servicing local government service providers, solder production, cable, copper and aluminum granulation facilities and environmental consultancy. EMR is growing and is currently seeking for a talented and dedicated Data Clerk to join our team. In this role, the Data Clerk will provide assistance in all aspects of administrative and bookkeeping records. In addition, they will perform general office assistance as needed and directed. Please take note that this is not a REMOTE position. The nature of our business requires that the Data Clerk be on site full time.

How you’ll contribute at EMR USA…

  • Collect, match, and verify data on a regular basis, all while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Verify and maintain proper client data and billing information.
  • Maintain general office structures and procedures in-regards to data collection and documentation.
  • Administration of budgets and/or expenses, of site inventory.
  • Insure proper filing of invoices and administrative paperwork on a day-to-day basis.
  • Translate data into spreadsheets and report to management.
  • Edits and updates purchase orders and provides assistance with purchasing documents and data maintenance.
  • Provides support with inventory management.
  • Transfer data from paper formats into Excel sheets and database systems.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

  • Computer savvy, 10-key proficiency helpful, multi-user telephone systems, copier, fax machine, printer machines, and Microsoft Office software including good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong Understanding of bookkeeping.
  • High School graduate or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting related field desired.
  • Must possess good data entry skills with accurate and precise information input.

Requirements:

  • Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • 2 years of experience in office setting with a focus on accounting preferred.

Some additional information…

Work is generally performed in a traditional office environment. This position requires sitting with the ability to work at a keyboard continuously for several hours at a time, standing, bending, and lifting. Touring our scrap metal recycling facilities could be required. Travel requires the ability to drive and the use of a personal vehicle. Must also be able to work under pressure and maintain a keen attention to detail.
