Job Overview

Key Job Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate course content for all training modules and tools. This includes developing objectives, competencies, lesson plans, instructor guides, assessments, and training materials.
Work closely with the Training Product Manager, Technical Trainers, factory service team, and engineering to ensure training materials and tools are accurate and developed to global standards.
Design, develop, and produce instructional media, such as animations, computer-based training modules (e-learning), videos, and training presentations that will be used in our training programs for customers and internal service personnel globally.
Be responsible for the expansion of the use of technology and computer-based programs in our technical training programs globally.
Evaluate development software and hardware for potential use and new development for our training programs and tools.
Manage online training content on our Learning Management System and update training reports for our training programs.
Predominant Tasks
Design, develop, and produce training materials and tools, such as but not limited to, computer-based training modules (e-learning), animations, training presentations, and training videos that will be used in our global training programs.
Design and produce hands-on, interactive, and computer-based training programs and materials.
Develop and administer written and practical assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of hands-on, interactive, and computer-based training programs and materials.
Be responsible for the expansion of the use of technology and computer-based programs in our technical training programs globally.
Establish and maintain a global training database that is accessible to all underground Komatsu Mining Corp. technical training organizations.
Evaluate new methodology and technology for potential use by the global Komatsu Mining Corp. organizations.
Confer with the Training Product Manager and Technical Trainers to determine specific training objectives and required training materials needed for various skill levels of customer and internal audiences.
Manage online training content on our Learning Management System and keep training reports updated.
Qualifications/Requirements
This position requires a four-year college degree in education, communications, or curriculum development. Experience with multimedia and training development tools, such as video production/editing software, e-learning development software, animation software, and photo editing software is required. Proficiency with various software, including but not limited to, Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere (or other video editing software), and e-authoring tools (such as Lectora or Adobe Captivate) is also required. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in groups are essential.
