Description of Work Unit
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is one of eight academic programs in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Colorado State University is Colorado’s land grant institution and holds the Doctoral/Research University – Extensive classification from the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. Affiliated with CSU’s Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program and the Center for Family and Couple Therapy (CFCT) in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, the CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) serves as a local, state, and regional child trauma assessment, treatment and education center.

Position Summary
CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) and the Center for Family and Couple Therapy (CFCT) are joint-clinical centers at CSU. We serve diverse individuals, couples, and families through multiple modalities including trauma assessments, evidence-based treatment models, and training. The Case Manager position will provide comprehensive case management for CTRAC and CFCT by managing incoming clients; interfacing between students, staff, billing specialist and Medicaid RAEs; supporting clinical work for supervisors, clinicians, interns, and research assistants, overseeing and training undergraduate RAs and Interns, and communicating with outside agencies and clients.
Required Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies or related field.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Clinical experience working with children and families.
- Research experience with data collection and analysis, familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Prior experience in the day-to-day organization of research projects, including recruitment of and contact with study participants, coordination of data collection activities, and data management.

- Utilize a trauma-informed lens while interfacing with our clients, partners and the community.
- Implement processes for engaging new client referrals from the Department of Human Services (DHS) and other agencies.
- Maintain consistent communication between community partners, referral sources, and clients.
- Manage the processes by which clients are scheduled for services.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and organizational records.
- Maintain regular communication with MFT graduate students and faculty concerning case management issues
- Attend weekly CTRAC Team Meetings and weekly MFT Team Meeting

- Orient and support the work of undergraduate interns and research assistants.

- Assist Director and Assistant Director in other duties as needed.
