The Center to Support Excellence in Teaching (CSET), a research center within the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University, seeks a full-time Project Manager to be a key contributor to the center. This position will support The Hollyhock Fellowship Program and several research and technology initiatives headed by the CSET faculty director.
What You’ll Do:
Working in close partnership with the CSET Faculty Director and the Hollyhock Project Director, the Project Manager will develop, implement, and administer the vision, strategy and goals of the assigned programs.
CORE DUTIES:
- Act on behalf of the CSET Faculty Director and Hollyhock Project Director to establish priorities and identify and resolve problems.
- Develop and manage research programs by conducting research activities.
- Develop and manage complex program activities such as program recruitment.
- Write and/or edit complex content for reports, research grants, and other program activities.
- Compose and draft documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and annual reports; perform substantial editing and fact checking. Create, maintain, modify, and/or ensure accuracy of content in various unit documents, displays, reports, brochures, social media, and/or websites.
- Create complex reports and spreadsheets which may utilize specialized software and systems.
- Coach and mentor program staff.
- May lead staff or supervise day-to-day work of student and/or temporary workers, including scheduling, assigning, and prioritizing workloads, setting appropriate deadlines, reviewing work for quality and timeliness, and providing performance review input.
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. For jobs with financial responsibilities, experience managing a budget and developing financial plans.
Preferred Education:
Advanced degree
At least three years of project management experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources.
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and direct staff.
- Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.

The expected pay range for this hybrid position is $90,000 to $120,000 per annum.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
