About the Role


We are currently seeking a Cryptographic Subsystem Application Software Engineer to join our dynamic and growing software team. The team is developing and maintaining software solutions for a secure mobile platform. This mobile platform is the basis for several best-in-class products that serve a National Security mission.


The team you’ll be joining consists of industry-leading developers, architects, and designers who use various innovative software and hardware development methodologies to successfully deliver our solutions.


Successful candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance; therefore, US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing mission critical cryptographic applications for an embedded Linux-based mobile platform using industry best practices while following the project’s software development methodology. You will work with domain SMEs on designing and building an engaging and intuitive mobile experience while simplifying user workflow. You will support the entire application lifecycle. Specific duties we’ll be expecting you to complete are specified below:


  • Participate in an Agile team environment via structured development lifecycles
  • Analyze, decompose system requirements, and define use cases
  • Perform system/application design
  • Develop and implement Security features that utilize the latest in Cryptographic Technology
  • Conduct unit and integration testing of application modules
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field
  • 5+ years developing applications with 2 years in C, C++, or golang (Go)
  • Must have active Secret security clearance
  • DevOps concepts and tools, such as: Make/CMake, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Docker
  • Embedded Linux experience with real time operating systems such as FreeRTOS
  • Application architecture and systems engineering principles to include micro service architecture, application design patterns, application security, developing system requirements, system design artifacts and models
  • Familiar with cross compilation, compilation frameworks, remote debugging
  • On-site work in Herndon Va required
  • A desire to learn and keep learning

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with cryptography, key fill, Type 1 certified products, and secure networking is highly desirable
  • Experience with Hybrid/Mobile Software Application Development on embedded Linux platforms
  • Skilled communicator who enjoys team-based environment
