Creative Producer/Project Manager Job at Design Within Reach
The Creative Producer/Project Manager will assist with managing creative project requests, process, shoot productions and creative deliverables from kickoff to completion. This role will report to the Director of Marketing and Creative Operations and will play a crucial role in being a brand ambassador in execution and delivery of all projects under the MillerKnoll retail family of brands.
This role requires a positive attitude, proactive creative thinking, time management, organizational skills and keeping projects on track and on budget. The right candidate will have a passion to collaborate in a fast-paced creative environment.
PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITES:
- Manage the securing of locations, booking crew, creating and sharing call sheets, developing shot lists, keeping shoot schedules and team on track, logistical needs, and final asset file delivery
- Forecast upcoming US project budgets and scheduling needs to the Art Director and Director of Creative Operations for MillerKnoll
- Responsible for creating estimates, managing talent agreements, negotiating contracts, music licensing, location agreements, and art buying needs
- Work closely and collaboratively with the brand art directors, designers, editorial leads, retail marketing managers and VP of Global Brand Creative Studio to develop schedules and partner to create Photoshoot Content decks
- Attend US photoshoots 2 -3 times a year in various locations, overseeing shoot logistics and post-shoot wrap up
- Monitor coding, approval, and reconciliation of vendor invoices relating to the crew and talent hired for each photo shoot
- Hold meetings once a week each with brand team members
- Serve as liaison between brand teams and MillerKnoll retail marketing teams
PROJECT MGR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Intake briefs at kickoff meetings with key players, vetting any open questions and marketing needs to hand off clearly informed briefs to the creative and copy teams
- Systematically develop timelines in Wrike and manage orderly flow of projects from initial scoping and development to delivery and production of final deliverables
- Lead weekly standup call with channel owners to discuss current in progress projects, creating agendas for reviewand send clear and concise recap of any next steps or action items
- Proactively and consistently conceive of, define, and develop process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity across Marketing & Creative Operations as well as cross-functional teams
- Ensure projects are routed for proper approval and all signoffs are recorded. Records and saves final creative/deliverables
- Align with post-production and e-commerce teams on project timelines and ensure budgets are met, working to problem-solve as necessary. Ensure that all projects are released to post-production and/or e-commerce on time to guarantee project due dates
- Partner with Digital Asset Management team for one-off image requests for web and email
- Organize and lead kick off and status meetings with key players to ensure that project needs, and deadlines are being met, and send clear and concise recap of any next steps or action items
- Work with leaders to set launch dates of new products based on project prioritization and upcoming promotional periods
- Attend merchandising meetings to provide marketing updates, updating teams on upcoming new products, order delays, or other merch updates/needs
- Serve as liaison between brand teams and MillerKnoll retail marketing teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of Photo Production experience
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
- Strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in a PM tool such as Wrike or Asana
- Experience reconciling monthly budget tracking for photo shoots.
- Ability to shift focus when needed from Photo Production to PM
- A clear understanding of the functions, needs and challenges of an in-house creative team
- Strong organization, multitasking, planning and time-management abilities
