Cheree Berry Paper & Design is looking for a Creative Operations Manager to join our team! Our Creative Operations Manager will lead our Design Department, assign and balance workloads, and help ensure that client engagements are on-time, on-quality, and on-budget.
We are a team of creatives that approaches all aspects of the design process with enthusiasm, passion, and meticulous care. Founded in 2006, primarily as a custom stationery company, we have evolved into an award-winning graphic design firm sought after for our playful, yet polished, sensibility. Our team includes designers, illustrators, copywriters, account and project managers, and a full production staff. While our home base is in Saint Louis, Missouri, our clients are located across the country. This position will be based in our office in St. Louis.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A Proven Leader: You have 2-5 years of experience leading a team. You lead by example, inspiring your team to exceed client expectations, you provide valuable and timely feedback to help your teams’ development.
- An Agency Pro: You have 5-7 years of experience in an agency environment. Like us, you have an eye for beautiful design and visual story telling.
- Great with Numbers: You have experience managing departmental budget to ensure that your team has the resources to be successful. You love digging into the details with a focus on aligning financial profitability goals.
- A Problem Solver: Challenges are going to happen, and you are prepared for anything thrown your way. You have a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and beyond. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help your team get the job done, finding thoughtful and creative solutions to any problem.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leadership: Coaching, mentoring, and leading a team of Graphic Designers. Assigning work in a thoughtful manner that best suits each project and employee. Training new employees to follow best practices and helping your team grow and develop their skills.
- Resource Management/Traffic: Leading companywide resource allocation function to successfully execute strategic goals. You’ll manage the workflow by assigning and balancing workloads, managing priorities, and creating efficient processes to help our team meet and exceed client expectations.
- Process Improvement: Nobody is perfect, but we always aim to be better by focusing on streamlining processes to help reduce errors and create a smoother experience for our team, vendors, and of course our clients.
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary for this role is $75,000 depending on your experience. We offer a great benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k with 3% match, paid company holidays, Paid Time Off, and paid sick days.
