The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Business Operations Specialist supports business operations for the CRA Strategy Team in KeyBank's Corporate Social Responsibility unit including reporting and data quality control processes for KeyBank's Community Benefits Plan (CBP) and CRA program. Responsibilities include working with business lines to ensure accurate and timely data reporting and quality control processes, as well as partnering with business lines on initiatives to support the bank's commitment to an Outstanding CRA rating. This position will also work with compliance partners to support CRA training and project management for the CRA Strategy team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with CRA program administration including working with CRA Business Operations Manager, Compliance Risk Management, and business line partners (LOBs) to implement the bank’s CRA data quality program, ensure accurate annual data reporting, and ensure regular updates to the CRA public file and public notice
- Support the preparation of quarterly CRA and Community Benefits Plan reporting including tracking and management of business line action plans and other cross-functional project plans
- Lead community needs assessment process including researching community needs and drafting written needs assessments, coordinating with Corporate Responsibility Officers (CROs) to identify and document community needs through interviews and focus groups with community groups
- Support CRA self-assessment process and other relevant exam period reporting
- Assist Enterprise Training, Compliance, CRA Strategy Manager, and CRA Business Operations Manager in the development and implementation of role based CRA training on topics such as CRA eligibility, program administration, and data management procedures
- Work with CROs to develop and communicate regional CRA performance reporting to business line leaders and develop plans to address performance gaps
- Support CRA risk assessments with Business Risk and Control, Compliance, and LOBs
- Support the Community Investment Committee process to provide CRA and community input around branch openings and closing
- Support CRA Business Operations Manager with project management including managing the team’s reporting, procedure, and business control calendar
- Work with CRA Business Operations Manager to complete continuous improvement projects to streamline and trouble shoot data processes and improve front end data quality.
- Coordinate annual/ad hoc reporting on community development activities to support CROs
- Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline and trouble shoot annual/ad hoc data processes and improve front-end data quality
- Support periodic reviews of CRA Strategy team procedures and coordinate with business lines around updates to processes and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, economics, sociology, or related field (preferred)
Experience Qualifications
- Project management experience (preferred)
- Experience with meeting and focus group facilitation (preferred)

Physical Demands

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $58,000 to $99,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
