$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS.
Pay starts at $3,258 to $3,507 per month, plus fully paid single or family health insurance. Summary of Work
The Missouri River Correctional Center (MRCC) is looking for individuals who are confident, assertive, independent, and act with integrity. MRCC is a minimum-security prison with an open campus located in Bismarck, ND. The Missouri River Correctional Center places an emphasis on preparing residents for reentry into the community. Officers must use good judgment, utilize, and rely on training to maintain composure in emergency situations, maintain constant awareness of their surroundings, work cooperatively with others as part of a team, be motivated and follow-though with work assignments, and communicate effectively. Duties and Tasks
Setting an example through role modeling and utilizing dynamic security elements by building a rapport with residents; observing, supervising, and accounting for assigned residents; maintaining logs, preparing reports, and making written records of incidents and rule infractions; escorting and transporting residents; inspecting and searching cells, residents, and visitors; and responding to crisis situations which may require running and climbing stairs. Officers operate specialized equipment such as two-way radios and firearms.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of work experience in corrections, security, law enforcement, or military police. College level coursework may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year for year basis. No experience, no problem, we will train you. If unable to find qualified applicants, we will consider filling as a Correctional Officer I at a rate of $3,258 per month. A Correctional Officer I requires a high school diploma or GED.
