Job Description
TOUR 2: 8am - 4pm
Purpose of Position:
The Coordinating Manager will oversee and manage the administrative operations of the dental practice.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Eye and Rehabilitation Centers
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities of the clerical staff in a variety of clerical and data entry activities for the assigned clinic.
- Analyze functions and make recommendations for changes in work assignments and workflow to enhance work flow, assign clerk work on work queues.
- Complete performance appraisals and participate in development of performance for all direct reports.
- Plan, develop and coordinate training programs for clerical staff as needed.
- Assign projects based on workflow priorities and availability of staff.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all patient experience related matters.
- Assists in planning, development and may conduct training programs to maintain proficiency of
- personnel and new methods and procedures.
- Approve and schedule requests for time off to ensure adequate staffing
- Initiate disciplinary action when needed
- Analyze functions and make recommendations for changes in work assignments and work flow Ensure staff remain up to date with all trainings and certifications
- Ensure compliance with Woodhull Medical Center Policies & Procedures and Joint Commission standards.
- Review Denial Reports for accuracy and take corrective measures to reduce denials and for purpose of ensuring staff is complying with Check 15 method of registration.
- Participate in various departmental initiatives to improve revenue and volume, patient experience, and access to care.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, and
- Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in “1” above; and
- Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in “2” above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity, as listed in “2” above; or
- A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
