BayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Cook who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service. At South Florida Baptist Hospital, quality of service is what sets us apart. A full-service, 147-bed hospital, we offer the high-tech services of an acute care hospital, but in a small, warm, and friendly environment designed for personal attention and compassionate care.
The Cook is responsible for:
- Preparation of foods according to standardized recipes
- Production methods including food preparation for special populations, ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service, and storage
- Assisting with orienting and training of new team members
- Performing other duties as necessary
Required Experience
- 2 years Cook or 1-year Relevant experience with High School or equivalent or Graduate of a culinary program
Preferred Education, Experience and Certifications
- High School or Equivalent
- 6 months Food Services
- Food Handler
Required Skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
- Organizational skills
- Computer skills appropriate to position
