As an Automation/Controls Engineer I, you will take ownership of assigned projects and manage them from start to successful completion. This includes initial project design, customer reviews, design implementation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Our hiring salary for this role is $93,000 - $120,000*, depending on experience. This role is open to 100% in-office or hybrid work options. A remote work option is available for candidates with proven industry experience in utility-scale renewable energy.

What will a successful Controls Engineer accomplish in the first year?

• Provide excellent customer service, including same day response to customer inquiries.
• Complete a project as Lead Engineer.
• Identify a process problem and solution that has been successfully implemented.
• Consistently meet Nor-Cal’s Core Values.

Key Position Requirements:

• Engineering B.S. degree (Automation, Controls, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar), or equivalent experience, plus one year experience with industrial SCADA projects.
• Ignition Core or Gold certification or equivalent experience.
  
• Basic understanding of SCADA/DAS design architectures.
• Possesses a positive “can do” attitude and a strong motivation to learn and excel.

• Salary range is based on California rates. Compensation may be adjusted depending on candidate's state of residency.
