Consumer Banking Associate

Note: This full-time program begins in June 2023

This 24-month program, will provide an opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the Consumer Banking division. Associates will participate in a structured classroom and on-the-job rotational learning program covering multiple areas of the Consumer Banking division. This program will prepare Associates for future opportunities in one of several key positions in the Consumer Division of the Bank.

During your rotations you will have the following responsibilities and experiences

  • Work in various roles in the banking center in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the consumer business. Through rotations and job shadowing experiences Associates will understand how various roles partner to provide our clients superior products and services. Associates will provide our clients with exceptional customer service.
  • Participates in several specialized orientation activities including but not limited to:
    • Bank's organization, history and values
    • Service standards
    • Policies and regulatory overview
    • Performance and development planning
  • Network with assigned mentors, other managers and senior leaders.
  • Participate in classroom programs designed to complement on-the-job training. Classroom programs will aid in the learning and improvement of skills relating to:
    • Banking center business
    • Project management
    • Interpersonal relations
    • Communication
    • Change management
    • Cultural values
    • Sales
    • Teamwork
    • Other business skills
  • Participates in various program activities, fulfills miscellaneous program requirements, completes other rotations and/or participates in additional developmental and skill building activities. Develops "value-based" proposals for presentation to senior leadership. Participates in group projects including, but not limited to planning, presenting and executing events. Participates in Bank sponsored projects and community-related activities, which may include the employee giving campaigns and others.
  • In this program, Associates will be responsible for compliance with all procedures, policies, and regulatory compliance requirements of their roles.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Hours:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, as needed and required, which may include the ability to lift 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Must be available to work when banking center is open, including Saturdays and after-hour events, as scheduled.

Qualifications to Apply

  • College graduates within in the past twelve months with a Bachelor's degree, BA or BS, or to be obtained by January 2020
    • All majors will be considered; coursework in Business, Management, and Marketing are beneficial
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00 required (3.50+ preferred)
