Conestoga – Program Support: Camp Administration
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking Program Support (Recreation) candidates to assist in the development and implementation of recreation programs at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center. Ideal candidates have a background in recreation and will assist in the administration of summer camp programs. The district also provides a bilingual pay incentive to staff who regularly use their bilingual or multilingual skills!

Scheduling:
The schedule for this position is flexible but availability must include evenings and weekends. Part-time employees may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 consecutive months. For more information regarding job duties and qualifications, review the job description. Job Opening:
Program Support responsibilities include:
  • Planning and coordinating activities to meet objectives; develop work plans and schedules to accomplish program goals.
  • Developing and implementing program curriculum; assign and direct the work of part-time staff.
  • Coordinating the activities of the Center with other District programs and with other community and government partner agencies – serve as a liaison to program committees, private industry, the community, and other government agencies.
  • Providing a program atmosphere that promotes and encourages inclusion and a satisfactory experience for all participants.
Staff members should be prepared to work indoors and outdoors, in varying environments.

Candidates must have a combination of experience and training equivalent to two years of experience in a specialty area of recreation and completion of the twelfth grade plus additional specialized training equivalent to two years of college.
