The Computer Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, upgrade, repair, and monitoring of Agency hardware and software. Position is responsible for providing software and internet training to Agency staff. This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position that includes tasks or duties (i.e., driving) that the employer in good faith believes could affect the safety, health or reputation of the Agency, participants, the employee performing the task or others.

Position will require travel between locations.

Qualifications Required

  • HS diploma plus three (3) years experience, OR Associate degree in the field plus one (1) years training, education and experience in computer information systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and correct hardware and software problems.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Training, education and experience in computer information systems, with the ability to diagnose and correct computer hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
  • Must obtain and maintain fingerprint clearance and pass a background clearance.
  • As agency driver, clear driving record of any major infractions for prior 39 months.

Physical

  • Long periods of sitting, ability to bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Able to operate phone, Fax, copier, and a computer.
  • Able to operate Agency vehicle.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience working in Integrated Healthcare, Behavioral Health or Primary Care environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity.
  • Bachelor degree in the computer sciences field plus 1 years training, education and experience in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent combination of training and experience
