RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CLINICAL ALLERGY SPECIALIST FOR PRIVATE ALLERGY CLINIC, INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Excellent judgment and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
- Contributes positively to a team of other staff and providers
- Administers SC, ID and IM injections
- Administers allergy injections and monitors for adverse reactions
- Performs allergy skin testing, including environmental, food, venom and penicillin testing
- Oversees rush immunotherapy
- Performs oral challenges
- Phlebotomy
- Direct patient care, including triage/patient histories, patient education and reviewing lab results with patients
- Allergy immunotherapy vial mixing
- Comfortable taking care of pediatric and adult patients
- Must type well and be comfortable with Word and Excel
- Must have excellent communication (both oral and written) skills and math skills
- Must multi-task, be flexible, and show initiative
- Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work load
- Will consider MA, LPN and RN
- This a part-time position, but would consider full-time for the right person
