Cleaning Supervisor Job at GSF USA, Inc

Summary: The Building Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of workers engaged in maintaining facilities and equipment in building or other work areas.
Type of Supervision: Employee is expected to perform routine tasks independently. Assignments are routinely given and areas periodically checked by the Assistant Area Manager or Area Manager. Audits of the area are performed by the Customer Relationships Manager, Customer, and Area Manager. Building Supervisors act as a lead for Service Operators, Day Porters, Floor Persons and other non-exempt staff. Building Supervisors report employee-related issues to the Assistant Area Manager or Area Manager for resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties & Tasks
A. General Cleaning
A1. Cleans and polishes fixtures, surfaces and trim.
A2. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
A3. Sweeps and scrubs floor.
A4. Dusts furniture, ledges, door trim and equipment.
A5. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
A6. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
A7. Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
A8. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
B. Task Management
B1. Inspects facilities and equipment to determine need and extent of service and equipment required.
B2. Assists the Area Manager in planning the type and number of service personnel needed to complete tasks.
B3. Assigns tasks to employees and directs projects to verify adherence to specifications. Based on direction from Area Manager.
B4. Assists employees with needs and/or problems or refers them to the Assistant Area Manager or Area Manager.
B5. Requests necessary supplies and maintenance needed on equipment.
C. General Labor
B1. Transports cleaning supplies between areas to be cleaned.
B2. Sets up table and chairs or rearranges tables and chairs when requested by customer.
B3. Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using snowplows, snow blowers, and/or snow shovels and spreads snow melting chemicals as directed by the customer or manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
