Located in beautiful Richmond, RI and situated on 3,500 acres, The Preserve Sporting Club & Residences is searching for a professional Civil Engineer to join our team.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Licensing

· 3-5 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior civil design

· Proficiency and relevant experience using Microsoft Office including Word & Excel

· Must be able to work in United States immediately

· Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles, practices, processes, design/build and the application to permitting and project work-related issues

· Experience with infrastructure planning, design and construction management, including rehabilitation & new design

· Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements

· Experience with discipline-specific design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution

· Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements which may extend beyond the typical workweek

· Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements

· Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience

· Must be able to perform all of the above qualifications

Responsibilities

· Be involved in projects with a multi-disciplined team and be part of a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves their challenges

· Provide technical support in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design, throughout the bid phase and during construction

· Perform basic calculations for highway/roadway and site design projects

· Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design

· Assist in preparing contract documents including plans, specifications and quantity & cost estimates

· Assist in field work

· Perform civil / highway design tasks requiring independent judgement of standard design & engineering techniques / procedures for roadway projects

· Coordinate other design principles, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, storm water, traffic, electrical, utilities and right-of-way

· Prepare roadway plans from conceptual to preliminary schematic and final PS&E design for roadway & traffic control disciplines

· Ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements

· Ability to work on small projects or portions of layered projects in a team-oriented environment

· Prepare quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates
