DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delight our customers to meet or exceed customer experience goals

Greet customer and provide friendly, courteous, and efficient checkout service

Handle groceries of varying weights

Scan merchandise by lifting and sliding products across the scanner

Remove items from top and bottom of cart when needed

Request price checks as needed

Operate electronic scanning cash register

Receive and process payment for purchases

Bag groceries as required

Perform all job duties safely, accurately, with honesty and integrity

Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 35 lbs.

Frequent or continuous standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Requires working knowledge of all job duties within the front end department.

· Requires strong communication skills, and interpersonal skills, the proven ability to maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers. Ability to work quickly.

· Requires a good understanding of company practices and department policies and procedures. Requires the ability to judge and react to business activity.

· Must have knowledge of product variety, standards, perishability, food safety, safety and sanitation procedures and department policies and procedures.

· Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Requires knowledge of basic mathematics and weights and measures.

· May be required to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. Scheduled hours will vary. Good attendance is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Hands are frequently exposed to water and cleaning agents.

· Frequent or continuous standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping

· Frequentlifting and carrying of items up to 35 lbs.

· Working conditions consist of a temperature-controlled store environment.
