Project Manager - Architectural Millwork & Casework
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

· Manage flow of information from various departments. Manage flow of information from Project Managing through engineering through production and visa a versa (other departments effected by the managed flow are Estimating, Purchasing, Field and the Physical Plant). This task is assisted by the Operations Controller.

· Assist with the implement an ERP system. Coordinate scheduling procedure with ERP engineer. This task is also assisted by the Operations Controller.

· Oversee project managers and ensure their success.

· Personally “Project Manage” shop projects of reasonable size, capacity and number, taking into consideration the totality of all the responsibilities (example: smaller type projects and job shop projects).

· Know and understand, then continue to develop ERP.

· Work with and assist the production manager and supervisor regarding quality control and delivery and develop jointly, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) plans.

· Assist upper management whenever required.

· Assist with developing new and improved SOP’s in all general areas.

· Assist with managing project cost reports, both supply and install.

· When Project managing reconcile and report all buy outs from Project Managers and or Purchasing. Compare actual buyout cost verses estimated values, prior to execution of the buyout.

· Attend weekly production meeting.

· Assist with quarterly and year – end inventory.

· Work with purchasing for inventory management.

· Assist we developing new markets and clients.

· Decisions need to be analytical, and not reactions to problems.

· Exhibit team leadership skills.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Secondary education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

· Five years of experience in managing millwork and/or construction projects.

· Experience in all aspects of millwork production and installation.

· Experience in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.

· Experience successfully executing project management techniques and tools.

· Proven experience in people management.

· Proven experience in strategic planning.

· Proven experience in risk management.

· Proven experience in change management.

· Proficient in project management software.
