About the Role - Position pays $15.50 an hour

As a Liners Craftsman, you will play a critical role in the beginning stages of our plants. You’ll will help take care of the cuttings that were planted into a liner to ensure they grow into a healthy plant and prepare them for their next stage, the canning process. Ideal candidate will be detailed, accurate, enjoy working outdoors and in a team environment.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be involved in various duties on the canning team that may include:

• Repetitive dexterity of hands to trim and take care of the liners.
• Cares for plants from the time they arrive as a liner and are transferred out of the area to canning.
• Carry out preventive disease practices by sanitizing work area, knifes and shears.
• Walking, standing, lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and worker protection standards.
• Other duties as assigned to meet departmental requirements.

• You are able to follow instructions and ask questions for better understanding.

• You enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers.
• You are able to work in inclement weather conditions, i.e. hot, cold, and rainy.
• You have excellent driving skills and ideally, you’ll have experience driving a tractor, forklift or heavy equipment.
• Ideally, you’ll have basic math, reading and writing skills.
• You are open to working extended hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday during the off-season and 7:00 am – 3:30pm on Saturdays during the peak but starting hours may vary based on business need.
• You are open to working in an area with moderate noise levels that may be wet and humid with odors or airborne particles.
• You are able to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly or 50+ pounds on occasion. You have full range of mobility in your upper and lower body, can reach overhead and work in various positions including stooping, standing walking, bending over, and squatting; can lift, pull and push materials, use hands and fingers to feel, handle plants or operate objects, tools or controls; are able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, all with or without a reasonable accommodation.
