Job Summary: The Business Insights Analyst is primarily responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of performance as assigned to the operations business units and directed by the SVP of Integration, Optimization and Strategy. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create reporting scorecards by business units, as requested/required by the COO and SVP of Integration, Optimization and Strategy. These scorecards will drive the analyst in this role to provide insights to the business and make recommendations. The analyst will also serve as a business partner to the division they support. They will attend staff meetings, understand the daily operations of the business, and provide guidance to make data driven decisions in order to support efforts in improving customer centricity and efficiency.

§ Financial performance indicators

· Profitability by account

· Profitability by project manager

§ Support forecasting, product cost exercises for pricing

§ Develop methodologies to measure and report on staff productivity, partnering closely with the Business Process Manager to effect change in operations.

§ Drive Optimization initiatives as directed by the SVP and hold teams accountable to the quarterly and annual savings or growth estimates, report monthly and quarterly results to the full Executive Management Team.

§ Testing of systems.

§ Build the workflow for change management within operations and measure the results of established change management and change control procedures. Target is less than 1% call volume following acquisitions and implementation of new ERP.

§ Assist all departments to access and use data in the most efficient way possible.

§ Identifying potential areas of improvement where process improvement, software or technology can improve efficiency or add functionality.

§ Serve as an additional level of support request escalation for customer issues.

§ Create customer dashboards and standardized customer reporting templates, using requested agreed upon metrics

Job Specifications:

Skills

  • Must have proven history of the following skills:

§ The ability to use and create templates with Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

§ Analytical problem-solving skills

  • Must have the ability to identify, identify root cause and contribute to the resolution of issues by listening to key internal stakeholders, analyzing data, summarizing results, and clearly communicating details and results to business unit leaders, including COO and EVP.
  • Analytic acumen required in order to perform analysis and make sound recommendations, data modeling experience is highly preferred.

§ Analyst should be able to provide actionable insights to the business units and work effectively with multiple levels within the organization, tailoring messaging as appropriate based on the receiving audience.

  • Act as a change agent and must have the ability to effectively communicate goals, strategies, action plans and results to internal and external parties.

§ Schedule and direct meetings

§ Communicate effectively to system users

§ Provide periodic feedback to the Business

  • POWER BI skills

Education, experience, certifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as an Analyst
  • Financial acumen and past experience preparing financial budgets and forecasts
