CarOffer is looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support efforts across the organization. This position will be focused on working with the Product Management, Operations, and Accounting divisions to understand, define, and document requirements for our reporting needs. This position will play a critical role in identifying reporting opportunities and making recommendations on how to achieve business goals in launching new products, brainstorming, and gaining consensus on solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluation: Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business needs, challenges, and opportunities in collaboration with division stakeholders for growth or improvement, utilizing analysis to influence strategic and tactical recommendations
• Product: Perform analysis to assess new and existing product and business strategies
• Execution: Help create best practices and standards for data modeling, documentation, testing, problem frameworks, test and analysis, solution development, and scope operational feasibility
• Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across CarOffer including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others to drive improvement in volume, profitability, and customer experience
• Strategy: Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business needs of our partners throughout the organization utilizing proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics. This person will create process models, diagrams, workflow mapping, and charts to provide direction to developers/business partners and maintains this documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Communication: Conduct interviews to gather requirements via workshops, questionnaires, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods, translating conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a manner that is clear and understood by developers/business partners
• Results: Displays tenacious focus on achieving both short and long-term goals, driving execution and agenda in uncertain and fluid environments while establishing scope and parameters of required analysis
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-starter with track record of thriving in a fast-paced, autonomous, entrepreneurial dynamic while leading a healthy yet aggressive approach to business.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a business analyst function and bachelor’s degree in a related field (bachelor’s degree is preferred, high school diploma is required)
• A deep understanding of data reporting and visualization trends
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and other data sources
• Experience with BI/Data Viz platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Sisense
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented team player with strong skills developing collaborative relationships
• Relentlessly focused on incremental delivery
• Transparent communicator who is open, honest, and collaborative
• Creative thinker, with a passion for creative problem-solving and customer centricity
• Driven self-starter, who is accountable for their work, and proud to take ownership
• Consulting experience is a plus.
