Job Description

Position Title: Manager, Business Analyst

Status: Full-Time

Supervised By: CFO & Treasurer

Primary Purpose:

To provide business evaluation and analytical support for important business initiatives.

Will also support CFO in key administrative projects.

Essential Functions:

1. Ability to gather information to analyze business opportunities, problems to be solved or procedures to be improved.

2. Able to interview personnel and conduct onsite observations to determine methods, equipment, and personnel needed to improve operations or address resources needed for proposed ventures or business opportunities.

3. Able to present an analysis in a “white paper” format identifying all pertinent challenges, conditions and obstacles as well as propose a conclusion or findings.

Other Functions:

  • Conduct other analysis or projects as directed by the CFO.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in an air-conditioned office for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to function in a busy office with housing and pension customers, managers and employees coming and going.

2. 10 key adding machine

Work Days and Hours:

Work days are generally Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.

Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands:

1. Requires good communication skills to be able to talk with managers and persons of industry to obtain information to prepare effective analysis of business proposals and to communicate results of his/her analysis to executive management.

2. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

3. Must follow specific instruction and safety procedures.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Must have a working knowledge of accounting principles, standards and techniques, as well as calculating budgets, cost analysis and reduction methods and management of cashflow.
  • Organized, detailed oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Requires intermediate reading, writing, math and problem solving.
  • Familiar with and proficient in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word & Outlook). o Able to write formulas, intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Computer oriented, able to work with computerized software.
  • Must be a self-starter and be an active listener and possess good speaking skills.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of previous experience in administrative/accounting work in a dynamic and highly energized environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Business, employment or college instructor references highly recommended.
