A Stokes County manufacturer is looking for some machine operators and packers who are willing to grow with the company.

As a machine operator, you will ensure the interminable and efficient running of production.

A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.

The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Reading numbers and attaching appropriate labels to each product and packaged unit
• Packaging items thoroughly
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Conduct safety audit of equipment at the beginning of each shift and submits it to the auditor
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Skills

• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
• Must be able to read and interpret packaging diagrams, charts, and written instructions.
• Basic Math skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Able to use micrometers and calipers and other measuring tools.
• Basic cleaning
• Team player
• Able to work quickly and efficiently
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to firmly grasp and use hammers, wrenches, and various hand tools during adjustments, repairs, and replacement / change-out operations
• Must be able to grasp and use a pry bar (20 lbs.)
• Must be able to use a shovel during cleaning operations

Hours:

Day shift: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Rotating Shift: 2-2-3

Night shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Monday-Thursday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
