Oaks of Louisiana is seeking an energetic Building Manager. The individual must be interested in being part of a dynamic team that cares for a profoundly beautiful and expanding retirement community consisting of the finest local independent and assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities around. To be considered for this position, the individual must be experienced in supervising apartment-type facility maintenance, be able to work independently and as a part of a team. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, equipment diagnostic testing and repair. They will inspect and maintain assigned areas, effectively troubleshoot and communicate issues, adjust and repair failures, while ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be safely performed adhering to Federal, State and local guidelines, while achieving the goals and objectives of our health care system. The required qualifications are to be a high school graduate, have minimum five (5) years’ experience in a combination of one or more areas of electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems. The candidate must have a minimum of (2) years leadership experience and have basic computer skills. The position is fulltime, but shift hours may vary. The individual will be required to attend a Health System and a departmental specific orientation preceded by a background check, drug screen, and physical.
