Stingray Direct is a direct-to-consumer, large-scale performance-based e-commerce company seeking a full-time, remote Brand Manager responsible for growing, developing, and leading our company’s legacy health and wellness supplement brand.

In this role, you will lead all brand-related initiatives from new product launches, brand story and messaging, sales, marketing, and reputation management, as well as cost and revenue responsibilities. You will report directly to the CEO and work cross-functionally with the Content, Acquisition and Retention, Product Developement, and Operations departments.

You will work at both the strategic level, helping set strategic goals with upper management to launch and develop new products, grow the brand experience and manage teams across all functions of the business. At the tactical level, you will implement marketing campaigns, analyzing and optimizing, owning brand knowledge, and solving problems.

The ideal candidate will be an extremely collaborative, analytical, and organized leader, capable of prioritizing projects, establishing a clear vision, and rallying cross-functional teammates to achieve results.

Brand Manager Responsibilities: Competitive Research

  • Conduct ongoing market research based on the brand’s target demographic to identify competitors, industry trends, new opportunities, and optimal positioning
  • Conduct and present to stakeholders a quarterly SWOT analysis, identifying key findings and recommendations

New Product Launches

  • Lead product launches working closely with various departments to ensure product inventory, content creation, web development, media, etc. is on track and meeting the required standards.

Lifecycle Marketing

  • Help identify and develop the brand’s core identity
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer, their needs, wants, demands, and desires
  • Develop user journey strategy with a focus on lead prospecting and conversions and work with various teams to ensure all assets are optimized to support the user journey.
  • Work with the customer acquisition team to monitor performance and develop new strategies to grow sales while focusing on target ROI
  • Improve customer LTV by working with the retention and content teams to lead, strategize, and implement upsell, cross-sells, email, SMS, blog posts, loyalty programs, and other campaigns.
  • Manage product pricing offers and test price elasticity with a focus on remaining competitive while improving ROI
  • Lead social media strategy working with the Content and Creative team to develop assets to improve engagement, sales growth, brand building, and retention.
  • Monitor site performance looking for ways to optimize, introduce new features, and oversee its development
  • Identify customer pain points and seek ways to improve customer satisfaction and overall Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Find and lead the implementation of new marketing channels
  • Develop and implement brand strategy, priorities, and goals to drive performance
  • Asses new media opportunities online, print, radio, podcasts, etc, and present to stakeholders
  • Track and report on brand KPIs (LTV, MRR, AOV, CR, etc)
  • Manage the brand reputation by acquiring positive product reviews, testimonial videos, brand ambassadors, influencers, PR mentions, and endorsements
  • Develop overall brand strategy and articulate through mission and vision statements so all departments know what to prioritize both internally and when interfacing with customers
  • Work to further define the brand’s USP compared to competitors and ensure it is being communicated in the marketplace
  • Develop differentiated value propositions and ensure it is communicated in messaging
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Brand Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) in Brand Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 6+ years of brand management experience required
  • 3+ years of eCommerce direct-to-consumer experience
  • Past role(s) directly accountable for high-level ROI metrics
  • Passion for working in the health and wellness space and with dietary supplements
  • Extensive knowledge of new product launch and competitor analysis
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data (identify issues, trends, or exceptions) to drive improvement of results
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, google docs, etc.) experience
  • Extremely creative with a deep understanding of the creative process
  • Able to identify and articulate great on-brand designs for websites, packaging, videos, ads, etc.
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Extreme attention to detail required
  • Self-starter, problem solver, able to work independently in a remote environment
  • AB split testing set-up and analysis experience
  • Experience with HR best practices
  • Management skills including hiring, training, delegation, and performance
