The Opportunity

The Benefits Analyst supports U.S. and global health, welfare, and voluntary benefits programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with implementation, analysis, and administration of very complex benefit programs and related policies
  • Support the attainment of external competitiveness objectives through market analysis and subsequent recommendations to management
  • Work with management to better ensure compliance of all programs with local, state, and country laws and regulations
  • Coordinate programs which link benefits with wellness and reduce cost trends for benefit programs
  • Counsel and educate management and employees regarding benefits-related matters
  • Provide benefits support to business HR Partners and workgroups as assigned
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Partners, HR Support Center, vendors and consultants
  • Provides high touch service to business sectors regarding health and welfare benefits and retirement plans
  • Secondary customer service support for complex benefits inquiries from the HR Support Center
  • Supports the cross functional coordination of benefits communication projects, including annual enrollment, policy changes, and ongoing plan updates and educational communications
  • Helps coordinate the annual benefits renewal process for all health and welfare plans, in partnership with the Global Benefits Manager
  • Assists Global Benefits Manager with vendor management and plan document maintenance duties
  • Assist Global Benefits Director with HR budget process, reporting and tracking

The Team

As part of BV Business Enablement, you will be part of the critical and forward-thinking group that enables our people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible by providing creative solutions. Functions in this group include CIO/Global Information Technology, Diode, ESH&S, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ongoing review of local and state leave requirements to ensure compliance (sick, vacation, disability)
  • Responsible for administrative functions associated with the HR budget - interfacing with finance, tracking budget status/exceptions/issues, developing/distributing reports to the HR leadership team, and preparing working documents during the annual budget preparation cycle
  • Responsible for the management of various voluntary benefit plans, including service and billing review and vendor relationship management
  • Prepare Global Holiday schedule
  • Prepare documentation regarding vendor/provider performance guarantees and ROI/VOI on benefits offerings
  • Assist with escalated inquiries from the HR Support Center.
  • Provide back up support to the Benefits Accountant and Global Benefits Team.
  • Provide back up support for retirement plans weekly reporting and administration.
  • Assist with on-going review and maintenance of Zendesk articles, including preparation of new materials, as required
  • Assist Benefits Team with preparation of new region/country policy documents
  • Assist with updates and review of BVTotalRewards.com
  • Assist as needed with special projects and new plan implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years budget or benefits analyst experience
  • College degree preferred

Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following:

  • Highschool diploma required
  • Criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
