Titan Advanced Energy Solutions develops and tests industry-leading, ultrasound-based battery diagnostics systems for applications in quality control during the battery manufacturing process and for battery state of charge applications in consumer electronics. With numerous awards and grants, and a recent B-Round of funding, Titan is ramping up our fantastic team for an exciting next phase of growth.
We are looking for a reliable team member who is a self-starter, exhibits initiative and strong problem-solving skills. This role will work closely with electrical, mechanical and firmware engineers to help develop these solutions and will report to the Lab Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assemble prototype devices and systems. Fabricate electronic and electromechanical test fixtures and build cable assemblies.
· Solder and desolder SMD devices on PCBs to prototype new circuit adaptations.
· Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic circuitry and other systems used with internal laboratory testing systems.
· Develop test and assembly work instructions for electro-mechanical assemblies, including PCBAs and cabling assemblies.
· Set up equipment to capture test data and produce documentation for test methods and test reports.
· Investigate, analyze, repair, and document equipment and system level failures.
· Use MS Office, especially Excel, to document BOMs, part inventories and make reports.
· Support lab management efforts and keep inventory records of parts and equipment for smooth operations in the lab.
· Knowledge of 6S or lean manufacturing principles.
· Purchase parts as needed.
· Other duties as needed.
Needed Skills
· Understanding of basic electronics
· Ability to use hand tools safely
· Ability to complete a task from verbal or written instructions
· Ability to solder SMT and thru-hole parts
· Troubleshooting problems that may come up during an assembly process
· Desire to learn and excel in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work in a team environment as well as be a self-starter and take initiative
· Able to lift 40 lbs
· High attention to detail
· General knowledge of MS office
· Strong organizational and documentation skills
