Pizza Inn/TCBY at 49 Farmers Market Drive, Hillsville, VA. is looking for an Assistant Manager.
Summary: The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the successful execution of the Pizza Inn / TCBY experience through serving the guest in a team member capacity, directing team members, and overseeing all aspects of the operation, including recruitment, development, scheduling, forecasting, ordering, inventory, performance management, guest service, delivery, financial performance, and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Able to perform the essential job functions of the team member position.
- Delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft (food cost inventory).
- Assists the General Manager in the administration of all areas of restaurant operations. In the absence of the General Manager, assumes all responsibilities, duties and authority.
- Responsible for the establishment’s cleanliness and sanitation including ensuring upkeep of equipment, building, landscape, and parking lot.
- Promotes an atmosphere of high energy, positive attitude, and a sales focused staff.
- Perform register closeouts and bank deposits.
- Address and resolve guest concerns.
- Ensure restaurant is open and operating during required business hours.
- Open and/or close store, including the execution of related responsibilities.
- Ability to comprehend and execute Pizza Inn / TCBY standards and expectations.
- Assists in personnel recruitment, selection, development, and performance management of team members.
- Assists with managing product ordering and inventorying, maintaining proper level of stock.
- Ensures adherence and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Comprehends, executes, and ensure compliance with all local food-handling laws and standards.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned by company management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proven management/leadership experience in retail and/or food industry.
- Must be able to operate with minimal supervision.
- Must be organized, flexible, and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor, even during periods of high volume.
- Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 38-hour work week.
- Able to work anytime to include weekends, some holidays, and extended hours when needed and if necessary.'
