Job Summary and Qualifications
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operations provides executive leadership and administrative support to the ASD operations in varied roles including but not limited to division leadership, center administrator, and acquisition support, as assigned. Assists where needed and directed for all ASC operations and Physician Partnership activity while ensuring the Centers comply with requirements of any governmental or regulatory body. The AVP assists the Vice President of Operations with both new development, acquisition and business development activity. As a utility player, may serve in interim fill role for Administrators, Div VPs, or Development AVPs/VPs.
What you will do in this role:
- Provides leadership and direction during interim assignments at Administrator and or Div VP levels (including single and multi-site operations).
- Manages/supports Partnership relations during interim assignments (including single and multi-site operations).
- Provides strategic development and execution of key functional ASD strategies.
- In collaboration with ASD senior leadership, generates measurable returns on investment by development and implementation of business strategies for the surgery centers within the portfolio designed to reduce costs and maximize services and product offerings Development and/ or acquisition of new surgery centers in the market/territory.
- Accountable for business development and operational performance/results, during interim assignments, guided by facility strategic and operational objectives.
- Focuses on business strategy and broadly stated facility goals.
- Oversees and supports the due diligence process of surgery center acquisitions and divestitures.
- During Interim Assignments, hires, evaluates, promotes and disciplines staff, as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned based on business operational needs.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Business Administration or a related field is required; however, a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
- Minimum 5 years experience within a surgery center, ASC Central Business Office, Hospital or related field is required.
- Multi-facility experience preferred.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
