A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT RESIDENTIAL MANAGER
As an Assistant Residential Manager with our nonprofit, you're responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating our community living staff as well as monitoring our residences for individuals with disabilities. You establish and maintain communication with consultants who provide therapeutic services to our residents and reach out to those consultants when issues arise. As requested, you attend client-centered conferences, team meetings, and agency or staff meetings. You also schedule and facilitate staff training segments and ensure our financial reports and other important documentation are in compliance with applicable regulations.
In addition, you develop and monitor individual treatment plans as well as schedule and coordinate appointments for our clients. You provide direct care services to ensure the personal needs of all residents are met, including those with behavioral issues. On a regular basis, you encourage residents to participate in integrated community activities. You maintain all required data related to program goals and objectives as well as accept and follow through on administrative tasks assigned by upper management. As needed, you're also quick to provide emergency on-call services.
Using your exceptional training skills, you serve as a mentor and coach for our direct support professionals as well as provide daily, ongoing supervision for residents in certified homes. You maintain consistent communication with family members, service providers, community partners, peers, supervisors, clinical professionals, and administration to provide updates on our clients and agency. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT RESIDENTIAL MANAGER
- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
- 2+ years of experience working with people with disabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, or related software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Covid-19 vaccination
