We are currently hiring for the position of Assistant Controller in our Columbia, S.C. Corporate Headquarters. This position reports to the Controller and is part of an accounting team providing support for the $140 million company.
Duties include:
- Help establish and monitor policies, procedures and internal controls
- Help with oversight and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assist in monthly financial reporting
- Assist in coordinating information to external auditor for the annual audit
- Collaborate with other departments such as HR, operations, etc.
- Work with individual branches to ensure all accounting needs are handled
- Assist in special projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Master's Degree in Accounting, and 3+ years of Public Accounting experience
- CPA or actively working to meet the requirements to become a CPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to changes.
- Professional image and demeanor.
- High level of personal integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work in paperless setting.
