JOB DESCRIPTION

Mend Services is looking for a dedicated and dependable Apprentices, Wireman & Journeyman Electricians to provide superior leadership and project coordination for residential and commercial service and construction projects. We're searching for someone with a strong focus on "World Class" customer service and a desire to grow with our business and an opportunity for advancement.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Understand project requirements and limitations to deliver a value-add strategy to discerning clients.

-Ability to read, understand and work from complex architectural plans, working with designers, architects and engineers to develop custom solutions.

-Adaptable to change and capable of deciphering needs and making decisions regarding construction methods and performance.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Communicate proactively in a professional manner with discerning and demanding clients to meet individual needs.

-Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical applications in accordance with the State of Texas Building Codes.

-Diagnose systems, apparatus and components using testing equipment and hand tools in order to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and breakdowns in order to correct problems efficiently and professionally.

-Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects and repair needs, ensuring compliance with all electrical codes.

-Test electrical systems and continuity, ensuring wiring, equipment and fixtures are operating safely and properly.

-Perform physically demanding tasks including trenching, moving / lifting heavy objects, and crawling through confined spaces.

-Ability to field after-hours and weekend service calls with potential after-hours and weekend field work, on a rotating basis to ensure customer needs are met.

-Support operating policies, procedures and system operations across a wide array of responsibilities.

-Serve as a key resource for project information and resolve problems or questions referred by internal and external sources.

-Establish and maintain an active network of professional contacts.

-Provide quality control and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget in a professional manner.

-Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

-Current TDLR Journeyman Electrician license. Apprentice - N / A

-Minimum (5) years residential / light commercial electrical work experience required. Apprentice - N/ A

-Good driving record and current drivers license.

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; able to push, pull, carry and maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower / tools as necessary); able to climb ladders, work from heights and work in confined areas

-Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

-Must be driven and able to work without supervision in a fast-paced environment, taking responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously.

-Capable of world-class customer service for extremely discerning clientele.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
