This position will be located in our Central Office (Topeka, Shawnee County).

Compensation: $41,870.40 to $48,484.80/Annual ($20.13 to $23.31/Hr.)*

  • Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications. Though this position is unclassified, pay is equivalent to classified Pay Grade 27, Steps 4-10.

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary: This position is responsible for entry level development using Microsoft Dynamics and other tools for the new Enterprise Application System. The position will also be expected to assist in Application Development help desks for Dynamics and report writing.


Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist users in resolving issues assocated with the Athena application in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Use prescribed methods and automated tools to develop, test, debug and document program code for Enterprise business applications which meets objectives of: design, cost and schedule; user and stakeholder requirements; and quality standards.
  • Research and change of programs that will require maintenance or upgrades.
  • Monitor or document problem resolution; inform reporting users what action is being taken and when the problem is resolved; inform all users when an error condition exists which will impact normal system use.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Successful completion of 12 hours in computer science coursework or certification and six months experience coding, testing, and debugging application programs or one year experience coding, testing, and debugging application programs.

    • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Good communication and customer service skills.

    • Knowledge of the KDOC Athena Application a plus.

    • Good analytic and problem solving skills.

  • Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must pass a criminal history records check.
