Set Solutions is working exclusively for a client in the Austin area hiring for a full time (direct hire) Application Security Engineer 100% remote in the US. This person with be responsible for protecting the data and computing resources of the company. You will investigate and remediate software development following the policies and management guidance in place. You will review code, test code,, and provide security consulting for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the analysis of security reports pertaining to threats
- Manage the SDLC
- Report the key security metrics and review data with the team
- Identify internal/external threats
- Mentor junior team members
- Be a liaison between engineers and IT teams
- Proactive around reviewing the IT Security stack to better protect the Organization and leverage resources
- Work with IT the Security team to develop IT procedures and the policies around risk management
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of IT experience
- 3+ years of security experience
- Ability to perform application security testing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience designing and deploying IT solutions
- Experience with multiple operating systems
- SAST/DAST and SCA experience
- Solid understanding of Information security, IT networks, and IT systems
- Intermediate knowledge of project management budgeting and timeline creation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $91,942.25 - $135,000.00 per year
