About

Lewisville New Hope Learning Center is a nonprofit early childhood education center offering preschool education for children ages four weeks through five years. We also offer an after-school program that includes various enrichment activities for school age children ages five through twelve. During summer and holiday breaks, our full-time care is extended to school-aged children to reduce the loss of learning and provide a safe environment with enriched learning activities. We have served children and their families in Lewisville and surrounding communities since 1975.

Monday – Friday 6:45am-3:45pm

Hourly $15

Philosophy

Early childhood is an opportunity to develop essential areas of a child's learning and growth. These areas include creativity, cognitive, language, physical and social & emotional. Our teachers act as guides during this process by allowing a child's curiosity to thrive in a nurturing and healthy environment. Our goals are to provide various experiences that allow our children to develop their tools and capabilities for life's obstacles. Not just for hurdles academically but hurdles in everyday life. Our program acknowledges and respects individuality. Creating an environment based on each child learning at their own pace helps build a strong sense of self-esteem and interest in others through healthy interactions. Not only do we want to harbor healthy interactions, but we also encourage our children to channel emotional impulses as such. By instituting responsibility and self-regulation in children, our teachers develop and refine strategies for our students to recognize their feelings and act them out positively. These aspects are critical and acknowledge the development of a healthy self-concept of who we are and establish the foundation of all learning.

Mission

Lewisville New Hope Learning Center provides an exceptional learning experience with a holistic approach to the whole child. We currently maintain the highest rating of four stars with the Texas Rising Star Program through Texas Workforce Commission. Our highly skilled teachers' primary focus is social and emotional development, along with age-appropriate, purposeful, hands-on learning.

While striving to provide high-quality affordable care to all families, our program recognizes the significant need in the community for low-income families. In response, our foundation is designed around allocating a vast amount of our funds to much-needed scholarships. At LNHLC, our initiative is to lay the foundation for lifelong growth and stability.

Service to community

100% of our families receive scholarships and/or financial assistance. This allows our parents/guardians who are struggling financially to continue working and providing for their families while their children are receiving a high-quality education and care. We are honored to serve our families in a loving, caring, Christian environment.

The Green Thumb is responsible for:

Providing coverage/care and facilitating activities when needed for Classroom, Playground, Bathroom, Nap, Lunch, etc.

Learning and adhering to LNHLC’s methods of interacting, relating to, and caring for children.

Assisting children with hygiene needs such as washing hands, toileting, and changing diapers when necessary.

Caring for children’s needs, which may involve lifting and carrying children up to 50lbs.

Assists in maintaining an environment that is safe, healthy, orderly, and appealing.

Performing all opening and/or closing duties according to schedule

Performing various cleaning & Sanitation duties.

Supporting and collaborating with all staff for the various needs of the school.

Maintain self in a professional manner at all times and adhere to all LNHLC policy, procedures, standards, and mission.

Maintain good attendance, timeliness, and adhere to schedules.

Participate in all required training and certification programs that will enhance job performance and career development.

Participate in all mandatory events to ensure continued support of the school and camaraderie among colleagues.

Relate to all children, colleagues, parents, and visitors with courtesy, respect, acceptance, and patience.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience caring for children under the age of twelve

Must be able to pass background check

Must be 18 years or older (Early education BA, AA or CDA highly preferred)

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Must be able to sit on the floor and get up with ease.

Must be able to bend up and down with ease,

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work effectively, professional, and respectful with and towards all children, coworkers, parents, and management
