The Alumni Community Manager is a dynamic and empathetic professional responsible for the continued growth and development of the Full Sail University alumni community. Alumni Community Managers collaborate across departments to support Full Sail University’s alumni network, share compelling alumni news & stories, and identify new strategies to increase engagement across our existing alumni base of over 85,000 graduates.
The Alumni Community Manger oversees Full Sail University’s digital alumni community platform, organizes & executes communications plans for alumni messaging, manages the content moderation process & community guidelines, and provides content creation guidance & strategy. The Alumni Community Manager will also maintain and analyze alumni engagement trends in support of Full Sail University’s alumni community growth goals. Successful Alumni Community Managers are self-motivated, collaborative with an ability to work independently, responsive, accurate, and deadline driven. They have exceptional communication, operational, and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Behave as a Full Sail University ambassador and embrace our unique educational model, while maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
- Stewards a unified alumni community across Alumni Relations, Career Development, and Industry Outreach departments.
- Lead strategic cross-departmental team responsible for building the scope of work for digital alumni community platform rollout, as well as the continued iteration of the platform.
- Manage all strategic, creative, operational, and technical projects related to digital alumni community platform.
- Plan, develop, and implement all digital alumni community platform projects, processes, communications, engagement reporting, and analysis.
- Develop & implement alumni community promotion and engagement strategies collaboratively with Alumni Relations, Education, Marketing, and Creative teams. Connect students nearing graduation, recent career-seeking graduates, and established alumni through an engaging community.
- Primary administrator for daily operation of digital alumni platform, and make decisions about alumni group creation, alumni admittance/removal, platform services/features launched, user platform adoption, content messaging, daily posting, user engagement, platform technical troubleshooting, and user feedback.
- Streamline, iterate, and enhance user experience within alumni community platform with Alumni Relations and IMT teams.
- Conduct analysis to identify insight, trends, and opportunities related to alumni community engagement. Translate insights into strategies designed to deliver meaningful results with direct impact on alumni community engagement KPIs.
- Organize and participate in alumni community building events.
- Maintain all alumni community blogs, email campaigns, and newsletters.
- Apply best practices across all initiatives to ensure a consistent brand experience.
Other Responsibilities:
- Liaise through strong working relationships with all interdepartmental stakeholders to clarify intent, share ideas, manage risk, suggest change, and clearly explain business impact.
- Facilitate and lead meetings to deliver information, processes, and analysis in well-organized manner.
- Research, report, and analyze alumni database diligence within Full Sail University alumni community platform.
- Report and analyze proper alumni profile ingestion and adoption within Full Sail University alumni community platform.
- Plan and execute strategic alumni activities with Alumni Relations, Career Development, and Industry Outreach staff as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1-3 years of university community management, digital community management, communications, and/or project management.
- Must successfully participate in and complete all continuing education/training requirements.
- Start-up project management experience.

Computer Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, iLife, iWork, Adobe Creative Suite, various web tools, Simplicity CRM enterprise software, Salesforce CRM enterprise software, and various other software as needed.
- Proficient with various Apple and Windows based hardware.
- Presentation skills and technical knowledge for in-person, virtual, and digital communications.
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
