Talentscale, Inc. is bidding on a USMC Aviation contract for Aviation Logistics Maintenance Assessment Team (MAT) support in support of the Third Marine Air Wing (3D MAW).

We are looking to hire an ALMAT Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) who will be a key member of the 3D MAW ALMAT inspections team while performing assessment and inspections across the Aviation Combat Element of the I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).

The Maintenance Assessment Team is a critical element to the 3D MAW’s ALMAT, ensuring maximum readiness of assets and personnel through the assessment, training, and enforcement of all applicable instructions and standards, such as the Commander Naval Air Forces Instruction (COMNAVAIRFORINST) 4790.2 series, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).

Overall, this position will integrate as a key member on our ALMAT team conducting maintenance assessments on Intermediate and Organizational unit Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs (NAMP)/Area and conduct Material Condition Inspections (MCI) on aircraft, in accordance with the NAMP.

Location: MCAS Miramar

Experience/Education Requirements:
  • Has served 8+ years on active duty.
  • Has served as an MV-22 Aviation QAR.
  • Has completed Corrosion Control School (N-701-0013 or C-600-3183).
  • Aircraft Mechanic III – Power Plants desired, but not required.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance REQUIRED; Current and active Secret clearance PREFERRED

Primary Tasking:
  • Is able to perform Aircraft Material Condition Inspections.
  • Inspect (300) Fuel Surveillance.
  • Inspect (400) Navy Oil Analysis.
  • Inspect (1200) Foreign Object Damage Prevention.
  • Inspect (3900) Vibration Analysis.
  • Inspect (1500) Plane Captain Qualification Program.
  • Inspect (1100) Aircraft Confined Space.

Desired Skills:
  • Has experience and training in corrosion identification and treatment.
  • Is familiar with NAMP program requirements and can easily evaluate Organizational and Intermediate level compliance.
  • Can inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety standards.
  • Is able to use Microsoft Office tools to generate inspections result products and after-action reports.

Travel Requirements:
  • The majority of the tasking specific to this position will be performed at MCAS Miramar (San Diego, CA), with frequent travel required in support of tasking at MCAS Yuma (Yuma, AZ) and Camp Pendleton (Oceanside, CA). All travel will be in accordance with US Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
