GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cape Cod Community College is seeking an energetic, driven, and enthusiastic Admissions and Recruitment Pathways Coach to help students navigate the enrollment process, with an emphasis on working with area high schools. In addition to assisting students in their exploration of academic areas of interest, financial aid and covering educational costs, the Pathways Coach will be responsible for off-campus recruitment activities that attract prospective students to the College using a variety of technology platforms and programs to aid in recruitment in enrollment efforts. The Pathways Coach will spend most of the time in the office and travelling within southeastern MA, Cape Cod and the Islands; a hybrid work schedule may be considered dependent upon the operational needs of the College. Given the nature of the enrollment cycle, occasional weekends and evenings will be required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating recruitment and outreach efforts for specific target audiences and assigned territories.
- Professionally and enthusiastically present information regarding the College, program offerings, structure, cost, financial aid, etc. to prospective students via information sessions, on-spot admissions, walk-ins, phone calls, and campus tours.
- Utilize a variety of technology platforms to provide high-touch, consistent communication through the enrollment journey.
- Participate in a variety of recruitment efforts including open-house, accepted student days, and provide enrollment information to prospective students and their families through the enrollment process.
- Coordinate high school recruitment activities including the Pathways Program, through collaborating with service area high school counselors and students to support student transition through the enrollment journey, including high school visits, FAFSA activities, on-spot admissions, and college fairs.
- Provide enrollment case management for newly admitted first-time students through review of academic program offerings, assistance with financial aid and covering educational costs, course registration, connection to essential needs and support services.
- Provide recruitment and admissions statistical reports.
- Assist director with application review process for new, transfer, and returning students into both associate and certificate academic programs, including international and dual enrollment students.
- Maintain knowledge of academic programs, cost of attendance, financial aid and other pertinent enrollment information to effectively assist students in the enrollment funnel.
- Serve on College committees as assigned.
- Perform related duties as directed.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field plus three (3) years of experience and/or training involving academic and/or financial advising, student recruitment/retention, student services, or counseling, or comparable experience in an institute of higher education or client-based community organization or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrate and possess a strong ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of people and groups.
- Knowledge of student development concepts, principles, and practices in admissions and recruitment.
- Excellent, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in student information systems and technology as well as MS Word and Excel.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with a student information enterprise such as Jenzabar.
- Experience using multiple channels for communication.
- Experience working with dual enrollment or similar high school programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of students.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: MCCC Unit Position. Grade 5 Academic Counselor position with salary range of $58,320-$68,768. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
