Administrative Assistant Job at Helotes Humane Society
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the daily functioning of the Helotes Humane Society. Working in a fast paced, customer service driven environment of an animal welfare organization, general responsibilities include problem solving, multi-tasking/prioritizing assignments and meeting critical deadlines. The Administrative Assistant must also be able to communicate efficiently with customers, volunteers, and staff to relay critical information as needed.
Primary responsibilities:
Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external clients while maintaining confidentiality of information.
Compile and maintain data of animal records, clients, and volunteers. Prepare reports using this data as required.
Process thank you and memorial cards and maintain data on donors.
Retrieve and return phone calls within a timely manner.
Answer Help Desk email, directing incoming email to appropriate staff members as needed.
Provide professional administrative support.
Assist with ordering and the creation of forms.
Organize daily administrative workflow to provide excellent customer service to the general public, staff and outside vendors.
Routine cleaning to maintain a clean, professional office environment.
Other duties as assigned and required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, and one (1) year general office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Good organizational skills and knowledge of office procedures/practices.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
