Adjunct Instructor Job at Southeastern Community College
SCC is currently accepting applications for an adjunct instructor for the Automotive Collision Repair & Refinish Technology program at SCC. Interested individuals will need to possess 6000 hours or more in the collision industry. Candidates must also possess the following ASE Certifications: Damage Analysis/Estimating/Customer Service, Painting & Refinishing, and Non-Structural Analysis/Damage Repair. Candidates will teach on various topics and skills including, but not limited to:
- history of the automotive industry
- the collision repair process
- tools, equipment, and parts
- terminology
- safety in the collision repair industry using environmental safety practices and regulations
- safety practices and personal protective equipment standard to the industry
- Vehicle lift and jack safety
- vehicle construction materials
- mechanical systems
- paint refinish operations
- damage analysis
- developing a repair plan
- estimating
- finding vehicle manufacturer collision repair procedures
Compensation will be based on the hours of lab instruction provided and begin at the rate of $33 per contact hour. Opportunities will begin to be available starting in September/October and may include weekday or weekend instructional times.
This position is not eligible for SCC benefits.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess 6000 hours or more in the collision industry.
Candidates must also possess the following ASE Certifications: Damage Analysis/Estimating/Customer Service, Painting & Refinishing, and Non-Structural Analysis/Damage Repair.
